Finance board asks for additional budget cuts


SALISBURY — The Board of Finance asked the Board of Education and the Board of Selectmen to look for additional savings after a first look (on March 3) at the component parts of their proposed 2011-12 spending plan.

The fiscal year begins July 1, 2011.

The proposed budget for Salisbury Central School is $4,736,534, an increase of $110,194 or 2.38 percent over this year’s budget.

Salisbury will get a break on the town’s share of the Region One budget, at $2,991,037, a decrease of $31,644 (1.05 percent).
