Finance board accepts capital plan with minor changes


KENT — The Board of Finance accepted the Board of Selectmen’s draft of the five-year plan of capital projects at a meeting March 1.

The main topic of debate was the appropriation of a flat $175,000 per year to the Kent Volunteer Fire Department, which would be held in an account. Once enough is saved, the fire department could use the money to purchase equipment or make improvements.
