Board of Ed budget accepted

Capital plan modified

KENT — At the regular meeting on Tuesday, April 12, the Board of Finance accepted the presentation of the Board of Education’s proposed budget for the 2011-12 fiscal year; and modified the town’s five-year capital plan to accommodate the changing needs of the Kent Volunteer Fire Department, which recently lost its main fire truck to a brush fire.

First Selectman Bruce Adams and Selectman George Jacobsen, called a special meeting so they could participate in budget discussions. Representing the Board of Education was Chairman Tracy Horosky.
