Art of the Tart appears on Daily Beast


MILLBROOK — Kate Weiner, Millbrook’s priestess of puff pastry who sells her fresh-baked tarts at the Farmer’s Market in Millbrook, has just posted her first piece for the Hungry Beast section of the website The Daily Beast.

Entitled “The Art of Making Puff Pastry,” the article begins, “There are 729 layers of dough and a whole lot of butter.” Eric Ripert, chef at the Michelin three star Le Bernardin, reportedly read the piece and loved it.
