And the glory, the glory of a holiday sing-in

KENT — More than a hundred voices were raised to the glory of composer G. F. Handel and the holiday season on Friday, Dec. 2, at St. Andrew’s Church. The church hosted a sing-in of Handel’s “Messiah,” traditionally performed at Christmas and Easter.

The “Messiah” is made up of solos and choral numbers. The St. Andrew’s sing-in featured five soloists and a string quartet, oboe and organ, under the direction of Susan Rotholz, co-founder of the Sherman Chamber Ensemble.
