Algrant show raises $14,000; funds will help fire volunteers

CORNWALL — The 52nd annual Rose Algrant Show, held last Friday and Saturday, was yet another artfest full of unique creativity.

Friday’s opening reception featured Zejke Hermann carving an angel from a 350-pound block of ice.

Inside the Cornwall Consolidated School gym, dozens of Cornwall artists came together to demonstrate what a talented community this is. Classic oil paintings were there next to humorous photography, kinetic sculpture next to fabric crafts and pottery, paper flower arrangements next to felted chipmunks.
